Introduction to Reliable, One-Man Master Plumbing

I’m Jamie O’Harra, a licensed master plumber with more than 27 years in the trade and have been in business for 13 years. O’Harra’s Plumbing Service is my business, and when you book, you get me—the person who answers the phone, diagnoses the problem, does the work, and stands behind it. I serve Topeka and Northeast Kansas with straightforward advice, clean workmanship, and pricing you understand before I pick up a wrench. Whether you need fast plumbing repair, a bathroom remodel done right, or help with drains, sewers, water heaters, or gas lines, I’ve got you covered.

I work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and I plan jobs carefully so I can show up on time and finish efficiently. If you want a local pro who treats your home with respect, explains your options in plain language, and doesn’t send a rotating crew, you’re in the right place.

Why Quality Plumbing Work Matters

Water and gas systems are the backbone of a safe, comfortable home. Small leaks turn into warped floors and mold. Slow drains become backups. Neglected water heaters fail when you need them most. And gas leaks are never something to guess about. Good plumbing protects your house value, your monthly bills, and your peace of mind. With seasoned, code-compliant installations and repairs, you avoid repeat visits and surprise expenses. My goal is simple: do it once, do it right, and keep you informed so there are no surprises.

Drain Cleaning Service

I clear kitchen, bath, and main line clogs using the right equipment for the job. If there are recurring issues, I’ll discuss causes and prevention, and advise if a sewer camera inspection or repair is the smarter long-term move.

 FAQs

  • Do you handle emergency calls?

I book work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. If you have an urgent issue during those hours, call and I’ll do my best to work you in. If it’s outside business hours, leave a message and I’ll respond first thing.

  • Can you give estimates over the phone?

I can often provide a ballpark based on your description, photos, or short videos, but final pricing is confirmed on site after I inspect the system. That way you get an accurate number without surprises.

  • Which water heater brands do you service?

I work on most major brands of tank and tankless units. If repair isn’t cost-effective, I’ll recommend a properly sized replacement and explain warranty options.

  • Do you pull permits?

When a permit is required—such as for certain gas, sewer, or remodel work—I handle the process and make sure the installation passes inspection.

  • How can I prevent drain clogs?

Avoid pouring grease down sinks, use strainers for hair and debris, and run plenty of water with disposals. If you notice frequent slowdowns, it may indicate a deeper issue like roots or a sagging line, and I can diagnose that.
